General Information

INSTRUCTIONS TO THE DEFENDANT

You must appear in court on the court appearance date shown on the front of the ticket except as provided below.

If you have not RESOLVED this case prior to the appearance date or you do not appear in court on the court date on your traffic ticket or if you requested a trial date from the court and one has been set but you fail to appear in court on that date, a warrant will be issued for your arrest and the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) will be notified to suspend your driver’s license.

Not all traffic offenses require a court appearance. Please go to https://resolve.alacourt.gov and enter your traffic ticket number and your date of birth to see if this ticket can be resolved before Traffic Court.

PENALTY POINTS are assessed upon conviction under the provision of Alabama statutes and the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Point System and may result in the suspension or revocation of your driver’s license by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA).
